Hungary: over and out

So another overseas visit is coming to an end; a final meal this evening in Balaton before heading back to Budapest tomorrow, flying back to East Midlands airport in the evening.

How is it that a movement inspired by one man and his friends is still having a impact 172 years later? A impact, not just through some obscure trust fund set up in some obscure places for some obscure reasons...but a living, breathing, real movement making a meaningful impact  in almost every corner of the world?

What is it that inspires a movement to re-establish itself in 1990 after being forced to close by the shackles of communism?

What is it that inspires a 15 & 18 year old to act as tour guides for a week, taking guests from England on a tour to visit the YMCA in 3 parts of their own country?

What is it that will inspire 50-60 young people from across Europe to travel to Lviv in Ukraine as part of the Youth Unify conference?

Theres something special when people put others above themselves; somethings about the untapped rhythms of grace, which I've experienced this week; something about the Kingdom expanding like a mustard seed, expanding in ways which no-one thought possible or likely through one small unlikely looking seed.

Thank you Hungary for teaching me some valuable life lessons this week. I'll be back - hopefully in the Autumn with my wife, and next summer with some young people. Anyone fancy joining us?

God bless

Jon Buckley
